2012 Jaguar XF Sportbrake

JAGUAR XF SPORTBRAKE

After a mid-life facelift, the Jaguar XF offers a wagon version a little better to penetrate the market for Audi A6, BMW 5 Series and Mercedes E-Class Focus on the XF Sportbrake, the feline star announced at the Geneva Motor Show 2012.

In recent days, the XF Sportbrake could no longer keep its secrets after the release of many spyshots and first official images appeared on the canvas. This time, Jaguar completely up the curtain on this model which is the best premium wagon segment E.

The style is clearly one of the most cared about this new variant with a line break far from the utility, necessarily. Profile is stocky but dynamic, drawing taillights remains very close to those of the XF sedan.

One thing is certain, the Jaguar XF Sportbrake retain the style and dynamic sports sedan variant. Still camouflaged, it hints at stern in harmony with the general curves of the car.

The task of the XF Sportbrake be heavy, it will compete with the Germans in a segment they dominate the top to toe. It will also obscure the X-Type wagon which did not leave a lasting impression in the minds of fans of Jaguar.

The XF Sportbrake offer the same petrol and diesel as the sedan, ie the 2200 and 190 hp 3.0 V6 Diesel 240 hp and 275 hp. The arrival of a more powerful block is not excluded, it could be the 385-hp 5.0 V8. Before perhaps the most aggressive XF-R Sportbrake 510 hp

But the biggest interest is obviously in terms of cargo space. trunk space can climb up to 1675 liters when the rear seat (60/40) is folded, it is better than 5 liters in the BMW 5 Series Touring. Any passengers traveling back in better conditions than in the sedan since the headroom of Sportbrake increases of 48 millimeters above the seat.

The XF also introduces a Sportbrake rear air suspension modified to adapt to loading of the luggage and cargo weight, it also allow to receive packages "Aerodynamic" and "Black Pack" for more aggressive, how to pack an Audi S-Line.

Rated engines, there is no surprise most of the sedan engines "normal" on this new variant Sportbrake, both versions of four or six cylinders, petrol and diesel. Only the sulfur XF-R has not yet been announced.
